These terms govern your use of the MuVertex website and APIs. Using either means you accept them.
The service
We provide programmatic access to identity and vehicle verification endpoints. Access requires an account and an API key. Keys are issued to your organisation and must not be shared outside it.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for having a lawful basis for every check you run, for obtaining and recording consent where it is required, and for the accuracy of the data you submit. You must not use the APIs to build a database for resale, to run checks unrelated to a legitimate business purpose, or in any way that breaches applicable law.
Keep your API key secret. You are responsible for calls made with it, and you must tell us promptly if you believe it has been exposed.
Our responsibilities
We will provide the service with reasonable skill and care, maintain the security measures described in our Privacy Policy, and give reasonable notice of breaking changes to the API contract. We target 99.9% monthly availability; where we commit to a service level in a signed agreement, that agreement governs.
Accuracy of results
Verification results reflect the records available from the relevant source at the time of the check. We do not warrant that those underlying records are complete, current or correct, and a verification result is one input to your decision rather than the decision itself. You remain responsible for decisions you make.
Fees
Usage is billed per successful verification at the rates on your account. Pay-as-you-go accounts have no minimum commitment and may be closed at any time. Fees are exclusive of applicable taxes.
Suspension
We may suspend access where use threatens the stability or security of the service, breaches these terms, or where an account is materially overdue. Except in urgent cases we will contact you first.
Liability
Neither party excludes liability where it may not lawfully do so. Otherwise, our aggregate liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees you paid in that period, and neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss.
Term and termination
Either party may terminate on notice. On termination your keys are deactivated and data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and your configured retention settings.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Bengaluru have exclusive jurisdiction.
